Breathe Freely with Septoplasty
Safe and effective surgery to correct a deviated septum, restore airflow, reduce snoring, and prevent sinus problems.
What is Septoplasty?
Septoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to straighten or reposition the nasal septum - the thin wall of cartilage and bone that divides the two nostrils. A deviated septum can block airflow, leading to breathing difficulties, snoring, sinus infections, or nosebleeds. The surgery restores proper airflow and improves nasal function.

Septoplasty Treatment
The surgeon makes an incision inside the nose, lifts the mucosal lining, reshapes or removes the deviated cartilage/bone, and repositions the septum to the midline. This improves airflow and reduces nasal blockage.
No external scars and recovery takes about 1–2 weeks.
A minimally invasive technique using an endoscope for better visibility. The surgeon corrects the deviated portions with precision and minimal tissue disturbance. Benefits include less bleeding, faster recovery, and better outcomes for complex deviations.
Involves removing larger portions of the deviated cartilage or bone while preserving the outer lining. Recommended for severe deviations that obstruct breathing significantly.
When enlarged turbinates contribute to nasal blockage, the surgeon reduces their size along with septum correction. This combination greatly enhances airflow and reduces congestion.
Laser may be used to reshape small cartilage deviations. Suitable only for minor obstructions and rarely replaces surgical correction.
A balloon device is used to create space in the nasal passage. Not commonly practiced; effective only in selected cases with minimal deviation.
When septal deviation affects the nasal shape externally, both functional (breathing) and cosmetic corrections are done together. Ideal for patients with nasal deformity and breathing problems.
Why You Should Not Delay
Untreated deviated septum can worsen breathing difficulties, cause repeated sinus infections, poor sleep quality, and long-term nasal problems. Early surgery ensures better airflow, fewer infections, and improved sleep.
